About Power Resource Partners

We help buyers find large power transformers, GSUs and high-voltage switchgear when the factory queue can't meet their date. We are based in Denver, Colorado.

What we do

We find large electrical equipment for buyers whose projects can't wait for the factory queue. That includes large and medium power transformers, generator step-up (GSU) transformers, substation and pad-mount transformers, mobile substations, and high-voltage switchgear and breakers.

We look at new and existing equipment side by side: open and released production slots at manufacturers, surplus and never-energized units from cancelled projects, and spares held by utilities and developers. See equipment we source.

Who we work for

Our buyers include utilities and co-ops, data center builders, renewable and storage developers, independent power producers, EPCs, government agencies, defense installations and international buyers. What they have in common is a delivery date that a new-build order can't meet. Read more about the industries we serve.

How a search works

  1. Scope. You share the specification, site details and the date you need the equipment.
  2. Outreach. We build a list of everyone who could plausibly have the equipment and contact them in parallel using Induction, our outreach system, keeping a record of every answer.
  3. Verification. Our team reviews the replies that matter, checks each option against your specification, and collects ownership documents, nameplate data and test records.
  4. Report. You receive a written report covering every source contacted, the units that passed our checks, and our recommendation.

The full process, including our verification standard, is on how it works.

The buyer-side model

We represent buyers. We don't own inventory, so we have no stock to push and no reason to favor one seller over another.

All outreach runs under our name. Sellers don't know who the buyer is, and your identity stays private until you decide to engage a seller.

We check before we recommend. No unit reaches you until we have reviewed its ownership documents, nameplate data and test records against your specification.
